A Walk Through the City

October 01, 2018

San Francisco is chock-full of wonderful stories about its rich history, and each famous neighborhood or attraction has much to offer architecturally, culturally, and historically. Thanks to the Free Walking Tours offered by the San Francisco Public Library, folks can not only learn more about their destination, but have a great time and get in some fitness walking as well. Guided by resourceful and knowledgeable guides, one of these tours is a fabulous way to get the real inside information on the City’s past.

Your guide will often direct you to locations or attractions off the beaten path, or give you the scoop on some of the City’s hidden gems. Opt for a Mission Tour for an artsy and educational experience regarding the area’s colorful murals, or explore and learn more about Chinatown. Additional walking tours include the Golden Gate Bridge, the Castro District, City Hall and the Civic Center, Nob Hill, North Beach, and more. These tours are free of charge, but a donation is requested. For more information, click here.
