An Insider's Guide to
San Francisco

Ann Randolph at the Marsh

May 01, 2017

Since 1989, the Marsh has been making a name for itself for sui generis, cutting edge performances. Founder and artistic director Stephanie Weisman’s vision was to have a venue where solo writers and performers like herself could develop their performances. From its beginning as a Monday night performance series, the Marsh at 1062 Valencia Avenue quickly developed into a venue with a seven-performances-per-week schedule, and Weisman’s  dream of performer and audience interaction continues to unfold. Many people who come to the Marsh as its audience often become involved in its other activities, including sing-along nights, workshops, becoming interns or volunteers.

The Marsh is currently presenting Ovation-Award-Winning playwright Ann Randolph in “Loveland” and “Inappropriate in all the Right Ways” through June 17 and June 18. Randolph has made frequent film and TV appearances, including “Internet Dating with Kat Williams,” and has contributed personal essays to the BBC, NPR, and weekend America. For tickets, show times, and more information, call (415) 282-3055
