Orchard Hotel Policies

Reservations are subject to change or cancellation at short notice to comply with Covid-19 related orders of Health Authorities.  The State of California has advised Hotels to notify guests that reservations may be canceled for parties with symptomatic visitors.  Guests who are ill or who have recently tested positive for Covid-19 should not enter our Hotels or facilities.  

There is a risk of catching Covid-19 any time persons are in public places, including hotels and restaurants.  Everyone is strongly encouraged to wear face coverings and observe social distancing in public areas to minimize the risk of infection.  Still, Health Authorities advise that the risk of COVID infection in public places and hotels is never zero, and by checking in or visiting our Hotel or Restaurant, our Guests acknowledge they understand and accept this risk.

We are waiving cancellation fees for all reservations not traveling on a group rate for stays through September 1, 2020. This is applicable to existing and new reservations. If you’ve reserved a non-refundable rate, we will accommodate date changes up to 12 months. Any guests who are unable to fulfill their travel plans due to recent travel bans will be fully refunded or may rebook their reservations for a later date.

If you’ve reserved using an online booking platform, please contact them directly for modifications or cancellations.

CANCELLATION POLICY

Cancellations must be received by 3 pm, 2 days prior to the scheduled arrival date to avoid a charge of the first night's room and tax.
This policy does not apply to non-refundable reservations

DEPOSIT POLICY

Non-refundable reservations will be charged for the full amount at the time of booking. The deposit is non-refundable.
Your credit card will be authorized for the first night’s room and tax one day prior to the date of arrival. If the credit card is not approved, the hotel reserves the right to cancel the reservations. 

INCIDENTAL DEPOSIT

An incidental hold of $50 per night will be placed on your credit card at the time of check-in to cover the cost of incidentals such as parking, room service, restaurant, etc. It will also cover the cost of repairs, excessive cleaning or other charges that may result from the guest's failure to comply with Orchard Hotel’s policies. The hold will be refunded once the room is properly inspected upon checkout.

ROOM GUARANTEE 

All reservations must be guaranteed with a valid credit card. If the credit card is deemed invalid, the hotel will make an attempt to contact you. If we are unable to contact you to validate the credit card information, we reserve the right to cancel the reservation.
Some rates require prepayment at the time of booking and are non-refundable.
All rates are for single or double occupancy unless specified otherwise.

ROLLAWAY BED

$50 per night, available first come first serve.

CHILDREN

There is no additional charge for children 12 and under staying in an adult’s room using existing bedding. Maximum occupancy limitations for room types still apply.
If you require a rollaway bed, the fee is $50 per night.
Cribs Pack & Play are available at no charge.

SMOKING 

The hotel is a non-smoking property (including e-cigarettes and smoking of any kind). This applies to all guest rooms, balconies and public areas are designated as such. A $500.00 cleaning fee per day will be applied to the room bill for smoking on the premises.

GROUP RESERVATIONS

Ten or more rooms are considered a group and must be booked through our sales department. Groups are subject to the terms of a contract including cancellation policy and performance requirements. In the event that a group of rooms are booked as individual reservations the hotel reserves the right to require the block of rooms to be subject to the terms and conditions of a contract

PETS

We welcome service animals in compliance with federal and state laws, however pets are not permitted in the hotel.

PARKING

The Hotel does not provide parking services. Self-parking garages available nearby and fee information are available upon request.

TRANSPORTATION

The hotel does not offer a complimentary shuttle to and from the airport. Shuttles can be accessed at Ground Transportation at either San Francisco or Oakland airports. These group shuttles offer door-to-door service and are often available when you land. You can also book ahead of time. Shuttle Company rates will very and will range between $17-$20 each way/per person to the SFO Airport and between $25-$30 each way/per person to the Oakland International Airport.
Taxis cost approximately $60 one way from the airport to the hotel.

  • Depart airport following signs to US-101 N
  • Stay on US- 101 N
  • Follow signs to I-80 E toward Bay Bridge
  • Merge onto I-80 E
  • Take exit 1 for 7th St
  • Merge onto 7th St
  • Turn left onto McAllister St
  • Turn right onto Leavenworth St
  • Turn right onto Bush St
  • Your destination will be on the right

From Oakland International Airport

  • Depart airport and follow signs for I-880 N to Downtown/ Oakland
  • Keep left at the fork and merge onto I-80W towards San Francisco
  • Pay toll and proceed over the Bay Bridge
  • Exit onto Fremont St
  • Continue onto Front St
  • Turn left onto Pine St
  • Turn left onto Mason St
  • Turn left onto Bush St
  • Your destination will be on the right

Breakfast is served in Daffodil restaurant
Weekdays: 6 am to 10 am
Saturday & Sunday: 7 am to 11 am 
There are many restaurant options within walking distance from the hotel for lunch and dinner

ROOM SERVICE

Available during breakfast hours only

BUSINESS CENTER 

There is a computer at the front desk for accessing the internet and for printing boarding passes. Please contact the front desk staff for any other printing, scanning or copying needs 

DELIVERIES

Guests may have packages shipped to the hotel which will be held at no cost for 7 days. Please ensure the name on the package matches the name on the reservation or else they will be returned.

LOST AND FOUND

The Hotel will hold lost and found items for 60 days. All unclaimed items are donated or discarded after 60 days. The hotel is not responsible for any items that are in lost and found.

SAFETY BOX

All valuable items must be stored inside your in-room safe and locked with your personal pin code. The hotel is not liable for loss of items not stored inside the safe. 

GUESTS OF GUESTS

Access to the hotel rooms are limited to registered guests, up to the maximum allowed per room category.
All guests must present a valid photo ID at the front desk and be registered to the room.
The hotel reserves the right of admission to the premises.

QUIET ENVIRONMENT

We aim to provide a quiet and restful hotel experience for all our guests. We kindly request our guests to keep noise to a minimum at all times.
